Store Jewelry Properly  

• Store jewelry in a cool, dark, dry place to avoid tarnishing. Silver jewelry should be kept in a sealed plastic bag or airtight box to reduce oxidation.
• Store each piece individually to prevent rubbing, scratching, or tangling.  
• Use a soft-lined box or pouch to protect your jewelry.  
• Keep chains fastened to avoid tangling.  

Protect Against Environmental Factors  

• Avoid exposing jewelry to extreme humidity or heat, which can cause tarnishing.  
• Gold vermeil and silver pieces are especially sensitive to tarnishing over time.  
• Keep jewelry away from direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can tarnish silver and gold.

How to Clean Your Jewelry  

• Clean jewelry with a soft, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth or chamois to restore shine.  
• If needed, use mild, eco-friendly dish liquid with warm water and a soft toothbrush. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.  
• Avoid using dip polishes or abrasive cleaners, as these can contain harsh chemicals.  
• Do not use treated polishing cloths with cleaning agents or polishing agents.

Chemicals to Avoid  

• Jewelry should be the last accessory you put on and the first you remove when dressing.  
• Perfume/oil, hair/beard products, makeup, nail polish remover, body oils, sun lotion, and deodorant can damage jewelry.

What Can Erode or Dull Jewelry  

• Remove gold-plated and silver jewelry before swimming or showering. Chlorine, saltwater, and even fresh water can erode or dull metals and gemstones.  
• Avoid soapy water during bathing, which can leave a film on jewelry, dulling its appearance.  
• Certain stones, such as turquoise and lapis lazuli, are porous and should not be exposed to water or oils for extended periods, as this can cause permanent discoloration.

Metal Allergy Tips  

• If you're allergic to gold-plated earrings, apply a small amount of clear nail varnish to the post and scroll to prevent skin irritation. Reapply as needed when it wears off.
